12/7-12/9

First of all, GREAT JOB ON THE PROJECTS!!!

TAREA this weekend (DUE Monday 12/14):
AT LEAST 5-10 MINUTES ON EACH QUIA GAME
1-QUIA- Materiales Escolares, match the words in the columns. (1 pt.)
2.-QUIA- La Ropa-FLASH CARDS! (1 pt.)
3.-Book assignment- fill out vocabulary sheets with pictures.
4. Clothes Catalogue Project (Due Wednesday! 12/16) (10 pts.)
CATALOGUE
Using AT LEAST 20 vocabulary words, pretend like you have your own store or design company and you are putting together a catalog to sell your clothes to a Spanish Speaking country. Use drawings, magazine cut outs, or images from the computer to put together a professional looking catalog! Include descriptions of sizes, colors available, and price. Chose a country and translate your prices to the currency of the country (example, pesos, cordobas, quetzales, etc. you can look up the exchange rate online!)

Make sure it looks professional!

LITERATURE GROUP
1.) Book assignment: Tía Hamaca y Tía Cama
a. Read for comprehension (don't look anything up the first time through, just look at the pictures, and try to figure the story out!) b. Scan for vocabulary you don't know. Look up a list of up to 20 words (no more!) c. re-read. Did your understanding of the book change? A lot or a little? Is the book still a mystery? (It's okay if it is!! You are doing your best to understand!!) d. write a summary of the book. Using the new vocab, any words you already had, and MAYBE an English word here and there, try to write a summary of the book. Basically you are recycling the vocab to retell a short version of what you read. Get me?

AN IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR EVERYONE:

You must get in the habit of doing your homework. If you do not know what it is
1.) Raise your hand and ask.
2.) Check the board- what does it say?
3.) Check QUIA
4.) Check the blog.

I will post your grades for the 2nd trimester just before or after Winter Break.

MAKE UP HOMEWORK IS ONLY ACCEPTED FOR EXCUSED ABSENCES! Most homework assignments are worth 1 point each, sometimes more.

Remember for projects: Presenting is Extra Credit, and food should be brought on the last day of class before Christmas break!

¡Hasta lunes!
See you Monday!
